The case was remanded to May 16.The four housebreaking suspects were caught red-handed by Ladysmith Tactical Response Team (TRT) officers on Friday morning. The officers were responding to a complaint of a housebreaking in progress in Shah Jehan Street, Rose Park.As the officers were approaching the area, TRT members spotted a suspicious-looking vehicle. Four occupants were in the vehicle, which was parked at a house in a nearby street (Chisty Place).The men were searched, as well as their vehicle. Housebreaking implements, as well as various fake registration discs and number plates were found.One of the suspects was found in possession of 7 mandrax tablets.The four robbers were arrested after residents identified them as the group that had attempted to break into a house in Chisty Place earlier that morning.The thugs had earlier broken into a second house in Shah Jehan Street, but fled empty-handed after realising the homeowners were inside the house.
